The Traveling Gavel was given its first home at Memorial Lodge No. 18 following the Masters and Wardens Meeting at Umatilla Lodge No. 65 on August 21st. It was give to Memorial Lodge as a token of its service the district it provides for our sojourning brothers who have gone to that house not made with hands eternal in the heavens. It may be retrieved at the next meeting of Memorial Lodge by any lodge that brings the largest number of brethren according to the rules laid forth by the Association.
The Traveling Cup was won and given its first home by Umatilla Lodge No. 65. Congratulations to Worshipful Master Pete Rutherford and the Brethren of Umatilla Lodge who attended the Masters and Wardens Association Meeting to claim the Cup.
If you are desirous of claiming the Cup for your lodge encourage the brothers of your lodge to attend our Masters and Wardens Association meetings. They take less than an hour and give you information on what is happening around the district in the various lodges.
Following the Masters and Wardens Meeting we have Memorial Lodge. It is a very quick meeting as well. I encourage you to join your brethren there as well.
Our Next Masters and Wardens Meeting will be at Eustis Lodge No. 85 on September 18th. Vice President, Brother Jim Blocher will be presiding as I will be at the Grand Chapter of Colorado, Order of the Eastern Star, escorting my wife, Debbie, who is Grand Warder here in the Grand Chapter of Florida. I hope you can help Brother Jim make it a fast and easy meeting.
David Rosenthal, PM
